Rochon was the only daughter born to Zelma Staples. An entrepreneur, she is also the daughter Zelma's nurse doctor. Cerritos high school located in Cerritos is where she received her degree from. She earned her bachelor's of broadcast journalism and minors in the theater and sociology departments from California State University Dominguez hills (CSUDH). Rochon was the keynote presenter at CSUDH's College of Arts and Humanities graduation ceremony in 2016.

Ullerup was first seen first in Battlestar Galactica remake, the Sci Fi Channel's 2006 TV show. She played Julia Brynn. Ullerup performed the role of Ashley Magnus for the first and the second seasons on Sanctuary before the character was created. Fans wanted her back, even though the show had been ended. In 2016, Ullerup was cast as Bree O'Brien in Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup was played by Maggie Thomas, Michael Thomas the estranged wife, in Asteroid: Final Impact (2005). Ullerup regularly appears in the role of Dale Travers, in the Hallmark Signed, Sealed, Delivered film series since 2016.

Yvonne Joyce Craig (May 16 1937 - August 17 the 17th of August, 2015) was an American actress and ballet dancer famous for her part as Batgirl in the 1960s' tv series Batman as well as her role as the green-skinned Orion slave girl Marta in the Star Trek episode "Whom Gods Destroy" (1969).
